Day 1 DELHI
Arrival in Delhi. Assistance and transfer to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 DELHI
Breakfast. Departure to visit old Delhi including: the Jamma Masjid Mosque, begun its construction in 1644 by Shah Jahan, is the largest in India with a capacity for 25,000 people. It consists of three large doors, four watchtowers and two minarets of 40 m. high listed alternating red sandstone and white marble. The Raj Ghat, a beautiful park with a platform of black marble that indicates the place where the Mahatma Gandhi was incinerated after his murder and where the Pandit Nehru and Indira Gandhi were also incinerated. We will continue the visit of New Delhi, the government buildings, the Gate of India Gate, triumphal arch built in stone of 42 m. high in which the names of 90.000 soldiers of the Indian army who died during the I World War appear. Walk through the Parliament area and President’s Residence. We will continue with the Sikh temple, Gurdwara Bngla Sahib. We will visit the Akshardham temple (closed on Mondays), Hindu temple complex and also known as Swaminarayan, the complex shows traditional culture, spirituality, and Hindu architecture. Return to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 3rd DELHI-JAIPUR (270 kms)
Breakfast. In the morning departure to Jaipur, the pink city that owes its nickname to the color of sandstone with which the buildings of the ancient city were built. The pleasant design of this villa is due to the maharaja Jai Sigh II who started its construction in 1728 and got its architect Vidyadhar Chakravarty to successfully mix styles as diverse as the Hindu, Jaina, Mongol and Persian. In the afternoon visit birla temple and walk through the old part of the city. Accommodation.
Day 4 JAIPUR-AMBER-JAIPUR (14 kms)
Breakfast. Departure to visit Fort Amber, (climb on elephant backs subject to availability), carried out by the Mongol kings with the aim of defending the citadel, building a palace and another fortress in a higher position. Visit Maharaja Palace, residence of the royal family of Jaipur, full of palaces, gardens and other C-956717 buildings among which the Chandra Mahal stands out, seven stories high inside is the Haharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum where you can see carpets, enamels, weapons, miniature paintings, cannons and vestments of the maharajas. Return to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 5º JAIPUR-AGRA (240 kms)
Breakfast. Departure to Agra, arrival and transfer to the hotel. Agra is a town located on the banks of the river Yamuna, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It was the capital of the Mughal Empire between 1556 and 1658. The city was founded between 1501 and 1504 by Sikandar Lodi, Sultan of Delhi, who made it his capital. The first Mughal emperor, Babur, took refuge in this city after fighting with Lodi in 1526. Akbar made it the official capital of the empire in 1556. In the afternoon visit the Red Fort of Agra. Day 6th AGRA-DELHI (200 kms)
Breakfast. Today you will visit one of the seven wonders of the world the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) monument that has given world fame to Agra and has become a symbol of India. The mausoleum that Emperor Shah Jahan had built in 1631 in honour of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, the lady of the Taj, who died in 1629 when she gave birth to her fourteenth child. The construction, in which 20,000 people participated, was not completed until 1653 and constitutes the most representative sample of Mongolian architecture. The main architect, Isa Khan, designed this set in a rectangle of 508 by 304 m. with a central garden flanked on all four sides by octagonal pavilions. If the architectural ensemble by itself is already impressive, the decoration known as hard stone in which small details such as floral arabesques and geometric motifs in semi-relief with precious stones among others make it a unique piece construction.
