Summary
The tour of this Andean route is an unforgettable experience. The road is built with blocks of rock along its 48 km, and is a road that crosses part of the Vilcabamba mountain range so it has stairs within its structure, as well as tunnels and wooden bridges that cross rivers, Temperate valleys, jungle and cold Andean heights.
The route attracts many tourists by being a path that offers us a unique experience, with incredible views of mountains with glaciers and the green valleys of tropical forests until arriving at the end of the trail in the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Detailed itinerary
DAY 01. – CUSCO – KM82 – HUAYLLABAMBA – LLUNCACHIMPA
In the morning we leave the city of Cusco 3350m, by tourist bus. Along the way we will observe extensive fields of cultivation and important villages that despite the years still maintain their traditions and customs, surrounded by imposing mountains and glaciers. We enter the Sacred Valley of the Incas with direction to kilometer 82, place where we will have the meeting with the whole group before starting the excursion in the classic Inca Trail. The lunch place is determined by the guide according to the group, (between the towns of Miskay or Llactapata), then we have the explanation of the archaeological complex of Llactapata. Then we continue to the community of Huayllabamba 3100m. And finally we will have the last section of ascent to our camp called Lluncachimpa 3300m. and/or Huayllabamba (Depending on the camp assigned by the authority of the Ministry of Tourism) Walking time 06 hours.
This day includes lunch and dinner.
DAY 02. – LLUNCACHIMPA – LLULLUCHAPAMPA – PACAYMAYU – CHAQUICOCHA
At dawn, it is the most pleasant time to observe such a cozy and enigmatic scenario, therefore it is the coolest moment of ascent through the valley Lluncachimpa 3300, Lulluchapampa 3850m, to the highest point of this section called “Paso de Warmihuañusca” 4200m, place where we will observe an impressive view of the imposing Nevado de la Veronica and remains of the Inca Trail. After a short rest we descend to the deep valley of Pacaymayu 3500m. We still have the other part of ascent to the pass of Runcuracay 3950m, and descend to the archaeological complex of Sayacmarca and finally arrive at our camp of Chaquicocha 3650m.

DAY 03. – CHAQUICOCHA – WIÑAYHUAYNA
We will have a beautiful day of hiking in the middle of a tropical forest, known as Yunga. Also highlight the visits of important archaeological groups along this Inca engineering that built our ancestors. We will visit the archaeological groups of Phuyupatamarca 3600m and finally Wiñayhuayna 2650msnm, place of our last camp.

DAY 04. – WIÑAYHUAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
After enjoying our breakfast, around 4:30am, we headed with our lanterns towards the Puerta del Sol (Inti Punku) 2780m, where we can observe the sunrise over Machupicchu and Wayna Picchu. The citadel of Machu Picchu 2400, is the best time to enjoy all the cultural and natural charm. Afterwards we will have the guided in the citadel of Machupicchu and then a free time in the citadel before taking the train back to the city of Cusco 3350m.

You need to bring!
Backpack, sleeping bag, warm and cold weather clothing such as waterproof jacket, fleece, hiking pants and shoes, polos, rain poncho, hat, sunscreen scarf, insect repellent and alcohol disinfectant gel, camera, flashlight and batteries, small snack selected as bar of chocolates and dried fruits, original passport.
Extra carrier
Under the Carrier Act (26702) and supervised by the Ministry of Labour. The collaboration of an extra carrier is given under the conditions that the customer requires. Therefore this customer’s suitcase must have a weight of 15 kilos and the personal items of the carrier 5 kilos, which make both a total weight of 20 kilos, according to law, this also includes transport, entrance to the Inca trail, food and camping equipment (The extra carrier only accompanies the group until the 3rd day), it is important that the 15 kilos are fulfilled to avoid incurring a penalty or sanction.
Important: The itinerary is referential and subject to modification, due to climatic changes, pace of walking of passengers and especially the availability of camps established by the Ministry of Tourism at the time of booking.
