DAY 1- City Tour & Convent of Santa Catalina

DAY 2- TOUR IN COLCA

We will begin our journey to Yura to enter Pampa Cañahuas, where we can appreciate the herds of vicuñas and the back of the volcanoes Chachani, Misti and Pichu Pichu, entering the Pagodas where we can appreciate the geological conformations of the area. To then stop in restaurant where we will have lunch (on behalf of the pax). We will continue to the bofedales, where we will appreciate the great quantity of birds, both migratory and of place, later we will arrive to the Mirador of the Volcanoes, where it is appreciated the Cordillera of the Chila and all the volcanoes of the zone, entering to Chivay

In the afternoon we will visit the thermal baths of La Calera where we will take a refreshing bath in Aguas Termales.

DAY 3-

Breakfast

In the morning we will visit the Cruz del Condor, where we will appreciate the flight of the condors and the depth of the Canyon, then visit the villages of Pinchollo, Achoma and Yanque and we will have several stops in the main viewpoints of the Canyon, where we will appreciate Colcas, Hanging tombs, Litho models and others. , arriving in Chivay where we will have lunch (on behalf of the passenger) and then we will start our return to Arequipa.

DAY 4- SILLAR ROUTE

Hours: 8:00 – 14:00(duration 4 hrs)

We leave the city of Arequipa to start the tour by the Sillar Route, which is a tourist tour where you visit quarries and areas where the sillar is located.

10:00am – The first point where we will stop will be the Añashuayco Quarry, this quarry is still in operation, By the passage of time and the handicraft work of the alarifes is that this quarry has become an immense canyon with walls that have a height of more than 30 meters. In this place the guide will give you information about the origin and geological formation of the quarries, the elaboration and the use that has been given to it and is given to the present. In this quarry we can also see the Megatallado on the walls of the canyon, made by the alarifes themselves, in which we can take good photos. We can also observe how the ashlar is made, since the alarifes currently work in the quarry. Then we will move to the Quebrada de Culebrillas, this is a quarry of ashlar that is not in exploitation, in this quarry we will make a walk of approx. 20 minutes inside the small canyon formed by the passage of water. At the end of the hike we can see petroglyphs, which are figures such as llamas, suns, snakes, etc. made by the ancient inhabitants of this area, which are on the walls of the ravine and can be seen clearly. We will begin the journey back to the city of Arequipa.
