A Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

  DAY 1°

18 FEB – LIMA / MADRID

Meeting at the airport to take the international flight to Tel Aviv via Madrid. Night on board.

DAY 2°

19 FEB – TEL AVIV

Arrival in Madrid and waiting time to take the connecting flight that will take us to Israel. Arrival, assistance at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Tel Aviv. Accommodation.

DAY 3°

20 FEB – TEL AVIV / JAFFA / CESAREA / HAIFA / ACRE / NAZARETH

Breakfast. At the right time departure to Yafo, where we will visit the old port of Israel turned into interesting neighborhood of artists. Visit to the Church of San Pedro. Then we will leave by the way of the coast towards Cesárea, ancient Roman capital. There we can appreciate the Roman Theatre and fortress of the crusaders. Then the tour continues to Haifa, visit the city, climb Mount Carmel where the challenge of the Prophet Elijah took place. Then we will visit the Stella Maris Church, headquarters of the Carmelite Brotherhood and worship of Our Lady of Carmen. The journey continues towards the Bahai Temple and its Persian gardens. From the viewpoint we can appreciate a beautiful panoramic view of the city and the port. It will continue to San Juan de Acre, fortress city of the time of the crusaders, where its rooms and the Crypt of San Juan will be visited. Dinner and accommodation in Nazareth.

DAY 4°

21 FEB – TIBERIAS /TABGHA / CAPERNAUM /TABOR / CANA / NAZARETH

Breakfast. Departure to Magdala, Mount of the Beatitudes, place of the sermon of the Mountain, where you will visit the chapel. The journey continues to Tabgha where the miracle of the multiplication of fish and bread took place, and then to the Church of the Primate, place of confirmation of Saint Peter. There we will visit the remains of the ancient synagogue where I preach Jesus. Cruise by boat through the Sea of Galilee. In the afternoon, ascent to Mount Tabor, where the transfiguration of Jesus took place. There we will visit his church. Departure to Cana from Galilee, where the first miracle of Jesus took place. The journey continues to Nazareth where Jesus’ childhood and youth developed. There you will visit the Church of the Annunciation, the carpentry of San José, the fountain of the Virgin and the Oriental Market. At the end of the day, you will visit the Jordan River. Dinner and accommodation in Nazareth.

DAY 5°

22 FEB – JORDAN RIVER / BEIT SHEAN / JERICO / DEAD SEA    

Breakfast. Departure to Yardinit, on the banks of the Jordan River, place of Baptism. We will continue to Beit Shean, Ancient Byzantine Roman City, which is the best maintained today, where we can see the amphitheater and its streets. We will pass through Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Contemplation of the Quarantine Mount and the Fountain of Elisha. Through the desert of Judea, We will pass the inn of the Good Samaritan and the Tomb of Lazarus. Dinner and accommodation in the Dead Sea.

DAY 6°

23 FEB -MASADA / DEAD SEA / QUMRAM / JERUSALEM

Breakfast. Through the desert of Judea we will reach Masada, a former stronghold of the fight against the Romans. Ascent by cable car to the imposing fortress of Masada, last fortification of the celotes and visit the excavations of the Palace of Herod, the Roman baths, etc. Descent by cable car and arrival at the lowest place in the world: the Dead Sea, 400 meters below sea level. Lunch.  Free time to swim and enjoy a unique experience: “the power to float in the sea without sinking”. We will visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Manuscripts were found and which today are in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Departure to Jerusalem. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 7°

24 FEB – JERUSALEM / EIN KAREN / BELEN

Breakfast. Visit the Sanctuary of the Book in the Museum of Israel, where the manuscripts found in the Dead Sea are exhibited, Yad Vashem, memorial museum to the six million victims fallen in the Holocaust; Model of Jerusalem of the time of the second temple. Continue to EIN KAREN, birthplace of Saint John the Baptist where we will visit the Visitation Church. We will continue our journey to Bethlehem, to visit the Church of the Nativity, Church of Saint Catherine and the Grotto of Saint Jerome. Outside the city, we will visit the Shepherds’ Field and the Tomb of Rachel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 8°

25 FEB – JERUSALEM

Breakfast. Departure to see Mount Scopus, the Mount of Olives, the Church of the Ascension, the Church of the Our Father and the Garden of Gethsemane. The journey continues to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, Gate of the Lions, pool of Betesda, Church of Santa Ana, Chapel of the Flagellation, Via Dolorosa, Mount Calvary and Holy Sepulchre. We will continue towards the Wailing Wall, sacred place for the Jewish religion, visit to Mount Zion, Tomb of King David, Basilica of the Dormition and the Hall of the Last Supper. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 9°

26 FEB – JERUSALEM / SHEIK HUSSEIN / JERASH / PETRA

Breakfast. Transfer for the passage of the bridge Sheik Hussein visa formalities and collection of passengers at the border between Israel and Jordan received by our Guide in Spanish after the border formalities at the border of Sheihk Hussein. We continue towards Jerash, located 48 kilometers north of Amman, is the grandeur of Imperial Rome, is one of the largest and best preserved sites of Roman architecture. A visit of two hours for its monuments, fountains, streets still very well preserved. After the visit we will travel to Petra. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 10°

27 FEB – PETRA / WADIRUM

Breakfast. In the morning we head towards the visit of the treasure of the world Ancient Petra. Place hidden behind an almost impenetrable barrier of mountains that have incomparable scenes that makes it the most majestic and imposing site. Petra is considered the most famous and precious site in Jordan. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the wonders of the world. Your visit lasts approximately 5 hours to delight its beautiful and its carved and impressive Pink Door. After the visit to the desert to contemplate the stars. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 11°

28 FEB – WADIRUM /MADABA / NEBO /AMMAN

Breakfast. In the morning we will head towards another world Wadi Rum, one of the main tourist attractions of Jordan 120 km south of Petra. Formed by huge pink mountains that rise vertically. We will take a walk in Jeep 4 * 4, driven by Bedouin who will drive them for two hours through this wonderful landscape Departure towards the visit of the Sanctuary of Mount Nebo site in memorial of Moses (peace be upon him), the supposed place of his death and burial, and a pilgrimage centre since the Early Christian era. You will be inspired by the biblical feeling from beginning to end remembering that there centuries ago pilgrims in their final destination sighted the Promised Land. Then we head towards Madaba approximately half an hour’s drive, to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George and see the 6th century map showing the entire region of Jordan and Palestine. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 12°

01 MAR – AMMAN / CAIRO (FLIGHT INCLUDED)

Breakfast. At the indicated time transfer to the airport

Reception on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner. Then watch the spectacular show of lights and sounds of the pyramids of Giza: Keops, Kefrén and Micerinos, enjoy the history of the ancient Egyptians. The show begins with the story of the Sphinx who has been the attentive guard of the city of the dead. Accommodation.

DAY 13°

02 SEA – CAIRO / ASWAN / KOM OMBO (FLIGHT INCLUDED)

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for regular flight to Aswan. Arrival, assistance and transfer to the boat, boarding procedures and accommodation. Lunch on board. Visit to the High Dam, Temple of Píale. Return to the cruise ship. Sailing to Kon Ombo, arrival and visit of its unique temple dedicated to two Gods, Sobek and Haroeris. Sailing towards Edfu. Dinner on board. Overnight.

DAY 14°

03 MAR – EDFU / ESNA / LUXOR

Full board aboard. In the morning visit the Temple of the God Horus Navigation to Esna, after crossing the Lock, sailing towards Luxor. Overnight.

DAY 15°

04 MAR – LUXOR

Full board on board. In the morning cross the West bank of the Nile, visit the Necropolis of Thebes: Valley of the Kings (where the tombs of the main Pharaohs are located), Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut and the colossi of Memnon, two impressive statues of Amenophis II. In the afternoon visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor. Overnight.

DAY 16°

05 SEA – LUXOR / CAIRO (FLIGHT INCLUDED)

Disembark after breakfast, transfer to the airport, departure by scheduled flight to Cairo. Reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel.

Pick up from the hotel to move to the Khan el Khalili Egyptian Bazaar where we will enjoy a day of shopping and appreciate the current customs of the people.   Lunch. Return to hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 17°

06 SEA – CAIRO

Breakfast. Full day visit including the famous pyramids of Keops, Kefren and Mycerinos (entrance to the interior of the pyramids not included). Camel ride. Then visit the impressive rock-carved Sphinx. Lunch. Visit the Egyptian Museum with its ancient art and where the treasures of the Tomb of Tutankhamun are kept. Also included is the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. Dinner and accommodation.

DAY 18°

07 SEA – CAIRO / ALEXANDRIA / CAIRO

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel at approximately 07:00 a.m. to head towards Alexandria where we will visit the Catacombs, we will give a panoramic visit of the Citadel of Kaid Bai and the Mosque Abu el Abaz, Library (subject to the visit if we find it open as it is not a tourist place) otherwise we will head to the Montazah Palace. Lunch and convenient time return to Cairo (arrival at approximately 19:30). Dinner and Accommodation.

DAY 19°

08 SEA – CAIRO / MADRID / LIMA

Breakfast (If the itinerary allows). At the indicated time transfer to the airport.

Departure by flight to Lima via Madrid.
